Light brown to golden brown, sometimes banded on quarter. Smell of ammonia in green or on rehydrated woods.
These properties can vary significantly depending on the origin and growing conditions of the wood.
Very irritating dust. The flow on quarter is recommended to reduce the risk of deformations.
Risk of cracks at the ends
Sometimes the presence of resin can interfere with the adhesion of finishing products. Sanding requires care. Mouth-porage necessary for a good finish.
Can be used as a substitute for CHENE (QUERCUS SPP.) for certain jobs.
